FAQ about IAF Beverage

What makes a IAF Beverage franchise distributorship unique?

There are several things:

  • With the Management Franchise Distributor Program, IAF Beverage trains you to do all the work. The franchise distributor services the locations we set up and train. The franchise distributor does not have to find and sell locations, does none of the initial set-up and leaves the training of retail personnel to IAF Beverage.
  • IAF Beverage has one of the broadest product lines in the industry, with flavors to please everyone from child to adult.

  • Our best-tasting, quality concentrates are blended by a company, in business over fifty (50) years, which also blends products for some of the biggest and best chains in the world. There is no other company in our industry that can match our product quality and flavor.

  • Our top-of-the-line dispensing equipment, made by the world's largest manufacturer in this category, includes custom features designed to increase durability and machine service life.

  • We don't sell and then forget our Franchise Distributors. We have the best training, marketing and on-going support in the industry. In the Management program, if a location we set up does not average 2 cases per month in sales during the first year, we will develop leads for the franchisee to set up a new location.

Do I need prior experience?

No, although prior self-employment may be helpful. To be successful, you must be enthusiastic, organized, self-motivated and enjoy coaching people. IAF Beverage provides extensive training and on-going support to help you handle the rest. This is a relatively easy business to learn.

How much money can I make?

That depends on you. Like most things in life, the greater the commitment, the great the reward. In our business, for example, it takes less than an hour of your time a month per location to provide basic support. But, if you invest an extra hour to three per month per location, showing them how to more effectively market and sample our products to their customers, their sales (and thus your sales) may grow dramatically. Remember, you can make a 400% plus mark-up on every case sold. For more detailed information, please review our Franchise Process by clicking here or on Franchise Process on the left.

What are “strict HACCP quality controls” and why are the important?

HACCP is an internationally applied series of tools to measure and control the safety of food and beverages. Our blending facility is one of the few that meets and complies with all the strict HACCP requirements. This assures our customers top quality products. In the United States, the FDA has taken a leadership position promoting the system.

The idea is to identify potential parts of handling and processing that could lead to potential contamination, then put into place, and measure safety precautions to insure the process is safe from beginning to end. (click here to read more on HACCP)

Over the past several decades, customers have become more and more concerned with food and beverage safety. Even a single incident of poisoning can cause serious problems for a business. Thus, use strict controls, the chances of there ever being a problem are reduced nearly to zero.

A franchise distributor’s part of the process is to insure that locations follow the procedures for storing concentrates, and maintaining and cleaning equipment.

Do I need to lease space to set up a franchise distributorship?

No, many franchise distributors work out of their homes and/or garages.

Is there a limit to the number of locations I can have?

In the beginning, the limit is twenty-five (25) locations. However, after the first six months, there is no limit. We do want to insure there is enough support so that all locations get properly serviced. When the business grows to the point where one person is not enough, franchise distributors are free to add staff as needed provided they are properly trained.

Will IAF Beverage finance my franchise?

We work with several banks and finance companies that may finance your franchise provided you qualify. Currently, we have lending partners that offer Bank Loans, SBA Loans, Mortgage Refinancing, 2nd Mortgages, Personal Signature Loans and Lines of Credit, Independent Financing Companies and Credit Cards. All these options depend upon your situation. You will need to fill out a credit application in the Insider Access section and talk with our finance department.

What is the relationship of IAF Beverage to Ice Age Frost?

Ice Age Frost and IAF Beverage are both registered brand names used by IAF Beverage. In some locations, both product names can be used side-by-side to complement each other.

These are frozen drinks, will my product sales drop off in the winter?

That really depends on the locations. If they are indoor, such as Hospitals, Schools, Skating Rinks or Bowling Alleys, sales can be equal or greater whether winter or summer. Additionally, geography does not seem to matter. IAF Beverage has recorded equal and in some cases more, product sales in the north during the winter as we do in the south.
